This is a project I had the privilege to work on at my internship at Food City. There was a special event where the singing chef, Andy Lorusso, would be attending the Bristol Food City location at which he would be sharing his personal recipes, while also singing and telling stories that have taken place within his career. There were many pieces I had to create for this specific event. The image I have chosen to show is my poster design that was displayed at all surrounding Food City stores. This was one of the first times I actually worked with a client, and was able to experience what this specific work is like within the real world. There were a few challenges that came along with this project. One in particular being, he spoke Italian and having to translate his songs from Italian to English and vice versa was extremely difficult. This was definitely a learning experience for me and I was grateful for the opportunity to create this design.

Deal of the Month-

This is something I was grateful to create at my internship at KVAT food stores (Food City’s Corporate office) in Abingdon, VA. The project was to incorporate two specific brands into one. One brand was their “everyday brand values” and the other was their “buy more save more ad”. I chose this specific color palette because for one, red and blue are Food City’s colors (even though these aren’t the exact colors), and two, because this was an event that I started working on around the fourth of July, so it inspired me. I had to create multiple graphics for this specific event which would be displayed in every Food City store. I had to create multiple posters, fliers, banners, and an online ad. All contained a collage of items at which were available in the sale, plus a qr code at which customers could scan in order to see every item that was accessible as part of this specific deal.
